Help, i have just purchased some front fog lights genuine for my 316i E36. They have come with the conector to each light which has 2 wires for each light one Brown and one Brown / yellow. I understand the brown wires from each lamp get connected to the positive on the main beam head light, but where does the yellow /brown wire connect to? I presume the Fog lamp switch in the car, but if im right does that mean ill have to tread a wire all around the car to get to the switch or not please help...... Ps the switch in the car has 2 buttons on 1 for each set or fogs front and rear... But only 3 connectors to the switch not 4??? Strange
    cheers Philer

So if it's never had fogs, did you fit the fog switch yourself?
The fogs should be wired through a relay, not direct from the switch.

the switch came with the second hand fogs, So i removed the old switch out of the car that powers the rear fog lights and replaced it with the new 2 button switch, so what i need to know is how does the wires from the fogs get connected up? i heard the brown goes to the live wire on the main beam lights and the yellow wire gets connected to the switch in the car is this right??? help

Do you want the fogs to work like standard. Only work when the side/headlights are on and not work when the full beam are on.
