    Dear All,

I have 96 316 (E36), lately it started behaving bit strange.. Whenever car is parked in British heat(!) all four electric windows stop functioning there is no power. Neither they go down nor they go up, but when outside temp. goes down and when it becomes cool, all windows start wroking again.

Tried replaceing fuse, cutout switch. but no joy ..

I would appreciate it if some one can give me any pointer..

    Cheers

    Wilson.

You have a problem with your ZKE module. Have the codes read to confirm.

    Hi Neal,

thanks for your prompt response... gone thro' your suggested thread ... So I guess now I have to go to my BMW garage fellow and get him to read all the codes then? I will update you accordingly. Do you have any idea how much one should charge? ( approx.)

    Cheers

    W.

Reading the codes will not be too expensive (circa £30 - £60)...but getting them to repair is a different kettle of fish. That's why Slowtech is taking a different route.

I don't think you will get anything from the ZKE using that procedure
