    Thanks for info had the door switches out and checked out feed to all ok but now i think its the zke unit (comfort control box ?) may be duff any one come across this before ?? fault is that interior light works when lights on only and only work when light switch is turned off and when ign key removed from lock (which i would expect to happen and stay on for 15 sec) the light also sticks now and then and stays on when it stays on i have to turn it off on the interior light switch then i am able to set the interior light switch back in the central position after some time has any one come across this before /? any ideas please ?

    bmw 318i 1996 p reg

    You can have the ZKE module read for any fault codes, it may be a good idea to see if there's any faults logged on the module.

    Also have a check of your wiring at the boot hinge as this can give you interior light problems, the wiring insulation breaks and shorts out on each other. you will need to strip the covering back to check it properly, see here http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...problems-t208/

    Hi jinx, I live in Bristol and would be more than happy to take the module out of my touring to see if that eliminates the problem when fitted in place of yours

    This is a method I used when I had a fault on my coupe. The module's were obviously different as the coupe is a 2 door but it still worked
