Hi There, brought a M3 E36 already fitted with Lexus back lights . Have been getting a warning message saying back light circuit failure and noticed break lights not always working . Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue would be gratefully received Cheers LSG

Buy Oem Lights, these aftermarket lights are P*sh in my opinion, they will throw up faults with the obc all the time with no apparent reason, most bulbs dont fit properly and when you hit a bump when braking they lose their electrical contact and throw up the fault

I had the same problem when i got mine it had those orrible chrome things on the rear and was coming up with a brakelight fault every now and then

The first thing i did to the car was bought some genuine lights from ebay

I still get the fault occasionally so i think i need a new brakelight switch but at least it looks better

If your getting the warning message now and again its most likely the brake switch thats going kaput. £4.71 from GSF and a 10mins job to change including taking the panel of from under the steering wheel.

Get some original lights on there, most people try to replicate m3's and this numpty you bought the car off put lexus lights on lol
