dunno if anyone else has had the same problem but number 37 fuse on my 1995 e36 coupe keeps going, burning out almost instantly now, it's clearly shorting somewhere but I have no idea where. This fuse goin causes sidelights on the drivers side to go out and the instrument cluster, main beams and as far as I know regular stop lights are fine but sidelights front and back go out but not being able to see the speedo in the dark could potentially cause problems. Has anyone had this problem and can anybody point out where I should look to fine the shorting wires causing this?

    thanks
    Cheers, Jay

Try the boot!! When you open the boot, look on the passenger side, there should be wires going from the car into the bootlid. It may be covered by rubber, cut the rubber thing out and you'll be able to see wires. Sometimes these wires lose their insulation and touch each other, causing the instant blown fuse. I had the same problem on last year. My number plate lights and central locking was also affected.
