    joe, any problems with the conversion re fault codes on obc? some have said that it can create pobs with conversion....your views pls

    My car doesn't have the full OBC so I had no issues with that, I think on the E36's it's ok, I haven't heard anyone with issues anyway

    As steve23002 said, HIDs are not an MOT fail as long as they are not blue and reproduce a correct cut-off line. This is why the HIDs are much more suitable for projector headlights (whitch most of the E36s have). However, you might want to invest in a pair of shrouds so you don't attract unnecessary attention. Due to the construction of the E36 headlamp some of the light is spread around the lense and it likes to go above the cut-off line. 35W 6000K with shrouds work the treat, are miles better than halogens and look the business on an E36. I have a full OBC too and no issues here either.
