I'm sorry in advance if this is a stupid question, but does the button in the middle of my ignition key do anything else apart from make the bulb light up? i'm 99% sure i have a problem with the imobiliser on the car but if i press the button on the key while unlocking the car it seems to throw up the problem less often. also if i start the car with my foot on the clutch with the car in first gear it also seems to happen less often or is this just coincidence?????

thanks for reading this pile of pants. any advice greatly recieved. lee
