    Hi all

    would an m50 2.5 pre EWS II vanos ecu and engine harness run an m52 2.8 engine ok?

    Not easily. The 2.8 is obd2 and has slightly different sensors in the cylinder head. You would also have to swap the crank pulleys as the 2.8 has a different amount of teeth for the crank sensor pick up.
    I have seen it done, but the engines never run to there full potential.

    Much better to use the ECU etc from the 2.8. The major problem you will have is the EWS on the donor engine...

    ok thanks for your help Steve. I think ill stick with a pre EWS 2.5.
