    Hi guys

I have the pioneer optional 12 disc changer and tape head unit (factory fit) in my '96 320i touring. The changer is plugged in at both ends and earthed but nothing lights up and it doesn't seem to work. I.E. the cassette that holds the discs doesn't eject when the button is pushed. Recently bought the car. Any ideas? Is this a common fault. Do I need a new changer?

    Cheers for any help.

Maybe you should isolate the power to it to confirm it is faulty.

I'd wip it out and give it a good clean (strip it down a bit and use some canned air and a few cotton buds in IPA), build up of fluff etc. seems to be common, at least on E36's, as well as knocks etc.
