    Hi...still can't locate were the promlems coming from,im thinking it could be coming from one of the doors...but i just don't konow...any kind of help would be great....cheers Dave...

    Have you had the door card off and checked the microswitch out for the door? Have you checked the wiring yet where it exits the body and goes into the door?

    Im off for a couple of days next week...i'll take the door card off & see whats going on there...& check the door wireing on all 4 doors....cheers Dave

    I had a 1985 528e that would unlock itself when I tried to lock it with the key in either fromt door or the trunk. turn the key and it would immediately unlock!
    My mechanic said it was most likely a safety relay that is intended to unlock all doors in the event of an a serious collision or rollover. If your car has such a device and you can locate and replace it, you might solve your problem.
    As for me, I gave up and eventually it stopped happening.
    I know, it's not proffessional, but my reasons were mainly financial at that time.
