    Well the OBC would be easier with the dash out but not by much. I took the glovebox, instruments and panel under the steering wheel off to do mine. If you are planning to follow my advice about the breakers you may be lucky to get a car with the OBC in too so if you take the whole loom you won't need to splice any wires in. Only thing to be careful about is making sure the donor car is the same age or later to ensure the loom is the same. BMW seem to have messed with it quite a lot!

    I took my dash out today and realised you'll also need the centre air vent as this is different with air-con.
