    Evening All,
My 1995 E34 Touring is fitted with what I believe is a BMW T2 Alarm System - single button fob. Works fine locking/unlocking, until I connect my recently acquired Auto Dim Mirror (from an E39 I believe, has the small oblong Red piece under the mirror). The plug for the mirror was tucked up behind the interior light, so I thought happy days, until I realised that with the mirror connected the car won't lock/unlock remotely. The alarm still arms/disarms OK. Any thoughts welcome, and does anyone have instruction on using the alarm - none came with the car.

So as soon as you unplug the mirror your locking starts working again yes?

Have you thought of trying to rewire the e39 mirror so not to interfere with your locking problem?

Update - worked out which wires were required for the chromatic mirror and disconnected the rest from the plug - works fine!
