Although all of my electric seat functions work, since I got my car the driver's seat has always worked differently to how it should: when using the back/forward functions for the seat base the seat moves in the opposite dirrection. I always assumed that, in the absence of any other electrical gremlins, this was down to the wiring in the seat not being quite right.

Here's the interesting bit though: I trial fitted my new sport seat at the weekend and that also behaves strangely but this time ALL commands are reversed: ie, up/down, back/forward, tilt & leg support in/out.

Memory is functioning correctly and there only seems to be one way to get each of the four plugs beneath the seat plugged in. Any thoughts? General Module perhaps?

If you can get a wiring diagram you could swap the wires around in the plugs to reverse the switches. Failing that it could be a module swap!

Yeah, I've posted on another forum too and had quite a good response from others with similar issues.

There's a theory that a battery reset may sort it although I've recently fitted 2 new batteries and, because I took my time doing it, this served as a battery reset so I don't think this'll help in my case.

Another suggestion is that it could be corrosion on the connector. I'll be taking the driver's seat off for a bolster trim at the weekend so I'll have another play when I get it back.
