    Can anyone tell me is it possible and what would be needed to fit climate control into a bmw 318 yourself when it was not fitted new 1995 any info.

    no it does not have air con and i take it it would need air con pump and condencer deisplay case assembly and brain but what else is needed thanks

    If you wanted air con on a E36 then you would be cheaper buying another E36 with it already fitted. Prices, condenser £110 compressor £250 Fan £230 drying chamber £40 add all the pipes etc add £60 for a fill the list goes on and on would cost a fortune

    Perhaps rewiring of the existing loom would be required too. I'm sorry to say whilst no doubt it is possible it just isn't a cost effective modification.

    Remember also, air con drains a little of the power from your engine too
