I know this is a pretty vague title but maybe someone can shed some light.
So I recently swapped my analogue climate control box to a digi climate box. Each box has it's own loom and plugs into the cars loom via one white and one black multi plug, each one is a 12 pin plug.
(note the two empty pins side by side on the black plug, this is the digi climate box loom.)
I noticed that there was a wire spliced into pin4 of the black plug (a blue wire). It looks like the same kind of wiring the dealer fit alarm uses (which is spliced into various places like the hazard switch and central locking/window wiring. All of which I can understand.)
Now, Pins 4 and 10 on the digi climate box are empty (as in the first pic) so there wasn't an identical wire to splice into again. I left it cut and it seems to have made no difference. I've not had a chance to trace it back yet but as I say it looks like something to do with the alarm, but why on earth would that need anything to do with the heater lol
Does anyone have idea what this wire could possible be? My guess is that perhaps the dealer fit spliced into it by mistake and then just left it there.
