Recently the battery was disconnected for the steering wheel to be realigned after 2 wishbones fitted. three days later instrument cluster lights were out Found front and rear O/S sidelight bulbs blown. Fuse 37 blown too. Replaced bulbs and fuse... worked. Later front fogs came on on there own. Couldn,t switch off. Fuse 37 melted! Disconnected relay for fogs. Ok but light warning buzzer kept sounding when ignition switched off. Sidelights working, then an hour later lights not working and fuse 37 blown again. Any ideas anyone!!

Odd electrics = check the boot lid wiring!

You'll probably have chafed and worn wires in the loom going to the bootlid.

It shouldn't do, as there will only be horn and possibly airbag wiring going to it.

It's always a good place to start looking at the boot wiring, but failing that, you need to think about what was disturbed when the work was done as some damage may have been done to wiring at the time.
Fuse 37 protects the tail lights and the likes of glovebox lights, cluster lights and backlighting on switches etc.
