    Hi all,

    I have an electrial fault

The car was sat up for 9 months with no battery. I rescued it, dropped a 325 engine in it and have been using it for the last few weeks.

I was on my way back from the cinema and 1 by 1 all the dash dials fell to zero. all that stayed on was the handbrake light and wear indicator (both red)
Then the car started to jerk lightly. I pulled over and suddenlly all the dash lights came on at once and everything returned to normal.

This has happened 3 times now. Until this morning i started to car and have no dash lights or dials except speedo (which is reading slow i think)
The handbrake and wear lights stay on. The mile ometer and service display are on but not back lit.

the main beam light works, but no fuel gauge, rev counter, mpg gauge, engine temp.

Any ideas lol? I know the E34 has batterys in the dash? is this the same?

Odd, it works on my mates '93 325i, so should work on anything really.
