hiya guys and girls, just a fast one here, ive had this issue with the horn for awhile now, where it work while pressin the centre of the steering wheel while you turn the wheels left and right but when it in a straight line nothing.

I changed the slip ring and the 3pin that touches it, then i nothice that when u tighten up the centre nut that holds the wheel in place it does what i discribe, but if you dnt tighten it up all the way, so that there is little steering wobble (hold it 3 and 9 pos it moves when u shake it) the horn works??

Now i know this aint right is tere nething i could be missing from this???

    thanks chazz

Has there been any changes to the steering wheel? some had an alloy washer on the back of them.
If may just have gathered some wear from being put on and off a few times.

Have you got any pics of this wheel? it's a non airbag early type?

still having this issue, so i thought about getting an after market steering wheel. The wheel i got now is crap, everyone i have spoken to is confused to why i have the red airbag light on the wheel and not the dash, so ive been told if the light is on the wheel and not the dash as it would seem it is, lol. then there no harm in getting rid off the wheel and getting a nice aftermarket one with the button in the center or by putting the button in the dash somewhere?

Anyone got any ideas for this, whats best make of aftermarket to get or whats the best place to place a button in the dash?

    Cheers
