1992 E34 525i SaloonMy rear window wont heat up and being in the UK right now as in December this is causing me hell loads of visibilty issues.
The on/off switch lights up that it is on but no demisting takes place, the fuses seem fine and I could not detect any voltage on the back window itself. This is a job that I want to fix myself as it will save me loads of money and I would really, really appreciate any help at all?

There was a hefty fuse under the back seat which had melted away considerably.I put in a 20amp as that was all I had at the time and it blew too after a few minutes, the original was 30amp.
What is causing this any ideas?
I am almost there I think
