have problems with my 320i wiring
namely that the milleage and window switches and the obc stay lit after car is switched off and will not go off after any amoubt of time

have found a few wires that seem to have been chopped and am wondering if these are part of the problem

the following wires come into the stereo area wrapped with the stereo harness

    1 red/grey wire
    1 black/white wire
    1brown/white wire
    1 white wire

does anyone know what these are for? or where they should be connected???

also one more wire i have found loose

on the steering column half way down there are 2 connectors attatched to the column
1 is white 1 is black

on the black connector far right top wire is purple and brown this goes to the ignition harness i think but this wire has been chopped and rejoined but also has a small length of whote wire that has been attatched to it about 6 to 8 inches long this white wire has a crimp connection at the loose end with a small amount of blue wire attatched that has been chopped

any idea what this could be for???

sorry for the long post but this is driving me nuts now as every 3rd day my battery is flat due to the fault i mentioned at the start of this post

    any help appreciated

heres a link to my previous post of things i have checked so far
