    hi there, can anyone help????

have owned car for a few years new, it started with my headlight and dash lights flickering/pulsing occasionly, thought maybe alternator so i changed it but problem persists, its now affecting almost everythink electrical eg windows, lights, idle(revs) even volume of radio goes up and down and alarm has been playing up, then yesterday i was unable to dissarm the alarm/immobaliser so was unable to start the car at all.

i have read a few threads already and noticed someone mentioned the ECU could be knackered, as this has been ongoing for about a year could it have knackered my ECU.

please help as i cant go on without my baby, lol.
    any answers appreciated, Clint.

Hi clint, first things first; check your ECU bay (behind your battery) for any signs of dampness: if there's any damp clean your drain plugs - there should be two rubber "shutes" under your scuttle tray, loom and blower unit at the bottom (bulkhead), not the best description but hope you know where i mean, next thing to check would be all your earth points as they can cause havoc with all the dash and light systems if any of them are dirty or have poor contact, the other main cause would be your loom going into the boot which will require the rubber boot around the wires being pulled back and checking all the wires aren't worn/broken.
    Good luck
    318IS PROJECT
    On the to do list:
Fit: Supercharger, New exhaust - get a twin pipe, Vibe front speakers , Front splitter repair/respray install

To do :Poss refurb wheels, Sort dents, Put front lights back to OEM, Respray, Remap

Sideways is the only way forward
