Ok. I have a problem with my central locking on my 1992 e36 318. What happens is when I lock the car from the drivers door the car will lock but immedietly unlock itself unlocking all doors. So I then have to lock it again to lock the car. It then remains locked. I had a look at the drivers solenoid and it was abit worn so replaced the lock and solenoid but the problem persists. When I changed the lock I changed the slam panel that the lock locks to that holds the microswitch as I thought it may have been that but I still have the problem. Has anyone had this problem before? Im keen to fix it asap.

Check the wiring that runs to the boot lid through the rubber tube. This is often the cause of central locking faults.

So i have the same issue here, checked trunk loom its all good, doors keep unlocking immediately after i lock them every single time, i took out one of the 3 fuses as a temp fix, does anyone have any other suggestions for a fix.

Ps i tried unhooking each door to narrow the faulty door down with no luck.

I suppose it could be the same problem as for the rest of VAGs.
Check the microswitches in the locking mechanism.
I have the same problem. It doesn´t happen all the time, but occasionally. Then I keep locking it, and eventually it stays locked.
I noticed - when this happens - I can still lock everything fine from Passenger side.

    BR from Iceland!
