Hi guys, having much fun with my lights on buzzer, I have one of the horrible ones contained within the speedo unit and it sounds dreadful!
Ive just retrofitted an 18-button OBC in place of my lovely analogue clock along with a gong and a stalk and was hoping to transfer the warning to the gong. Sadly this doesnt look as easy as Id hoped.
As my car is such an early version Ive had to tap in a new wire that runs from the speedo to the gong but all Ive succeeded in doing thus far is increase the number of buzzes from 3 to 10! Clearly something has changed but its not quite right yet.
The gong itself does work, Ive had the speed limit set as a test and that is fine, though the wiring is from a different source.
Interestingly enough the original lights on buzzer did it every time I switched off the ignition regardless of whether the door was open or not....not a good state of affairs.
So, at the end of this essay, do I need to carry on in this vein or would I have to change the cluster to a different one or do they all have buzzers in?
I have no 'door open' wire into the cluster as yet and hope to get that wired in once I know about the cluster.
