My car has xenons that were already fitted when I bought the car, but I don't know what rating they are, is there any way of telling? It doesn't say on the ballast boxes either. Also how long should xenon bulbs last?

if they have a blue tint there probably 6000k, 4000k is white. any higher than 6000k they are realy blue or purple.
    they should last years.

Mine are 6000k and in person look very white with the slightest blue tinge. If they're are noticeable blue with a bit of white, then they're probably 8000k.

Xenons last up to 3000 hours.
