A few days ago the wife shut the passengers door a little hard on the E36 with the window partially down . The window jumped from the scissor action and fell forward and down , I managed to get the glass in the action but it no longer works correctly with the glass sticking at the front and raising the rear corner higher before jamming mostly up. Any ideas whats wrong as the action looks ok but the glass wont stay straight as it raises dropping the nose

I could be wrong, but it sounds like the window regulator may be damaged.

You need to title your threads correctly, e.g. 1991 E36 325 - Window Winding Problem, I'll move this to the correct forum once you've done this

The wife owes you 2 new clips, called sliding pieces, here number 2. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...55&hg=51&fg=10

You'll need to remove the door card, see here, http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/tech...er-Windows.htm

You're in luck as they are the same. But that's why Threads titled correctly are important.

They aren't expensive either those clips.

This is Australia and I am standing in it

Wil ask the local agent but so far it's normally cheaper to import
