Hello there everybody,
not posted on here a while, often manage to find some lead towards a fix, from reading previous posts.
I'm having problems with my 1991 E36 318i saloon, and a Battery Drain, can't seem to fix.
Farely certain, I've got this limited down to the circuit on Fuse 33 :
[Charging Socket, Heated Door locks(don't have), interior lights, luggage compartment lights, telephone system(previous owner had a retro-fit kit installed, still have spaghetti junction behind the glove box as a result), and the left sidelights (which makes removing fuse 33 a no-no, could overwise have lived without all else.).
Tell me? why left sidelight, and right sidelights on different fuses?
Checked over volt/amps with a friend, found that Fuse 33 was 0.180, after car was asleep!
Took the fuse out, dropped to 0.003 (Bingo?).
Have sorted through trying to find the actual culprit, but to no avail. (might be a wire break somewhere/anywhere.
wondering if anyone might have a circuit diagram clearly showing everything linked to fuse 33? or have any help on this?
Unfortunately, with the remains of an old phone kit, and what also appears to be the alarm kit all stealing into the circuit/wiring looms (a wire from here, there), routing out the problem is a nightmare, finding it difficult to actually rip out the obsolete rubbish.
I would love to be able to tidy up the wiring, finally get rid of the phone kit remains once and for all, and go from there.
At present, now that i've limited it to this area, will take the fuse out over the weekend, maybe every evening i get home from work, with a sticky note on my dash to remind me each morning to put the blighter back in.
Thanks in advance.
