    Hi all,

I had a problem with the electric windows on the car, they would go down no problem, but you would need to press up about 20 times before they would go up. So after reading on the forum that it could be the blue comfort relay behind the glovebox, I thought that it needed replaced.

Same part no as the old one ( 61 358 353 090 ), but now I have more problems. When the new or old relay are put in the windows will not go up , the obc lights up, and the miles on the dash light up and will not go out.

Before the rain comes back (and I get wet), can any one tell me to fix / cure this problem.

its clearly a wiring issue you need to check the wiring loom behind the glove box to make sure no wires are fused together.

Hmm, i don't think that was the comfort relay in the first place, more likely it was just stiff runners on the windows activating the anti trap mechanism.

Try flicking different switches on the map and interior lights, and see if that might cancel it.

    Update,

Got the windows working ! I took the switch apart and gave them a small spray with wd40, works great now.

But the blue relay still turns on the obc and dash clock miles, so the relay is out for now. Anyone any ideas about the relay ?

So it is the comfort relay. It controls the supply to windows and sunroof. You say you have unplugged it, so i take it your windows are not working while it's out.

Good to see you are still poking your head in Gildersol , was a sad day when you said you wouldn't be about so much,
