As the title, also the gear indicator is not lit and the horn did not work...now the odd thing is, if I take out the odometer bulbs, the gear indicator lights and the horn works .

If I put the bulbs back, I have no ODO, gear indicator or horn

I suspect a problem with the dash, but how it affects the horn, only the good lord knows........the car has 61k from new, 1 owner, FSH and has been stood since July 09.

The clocks pass through the centre of the steering wheel, but you have to turn the wheel to get the clocks through....now I am guessing there is some kind of contact/ring thing that has a dead spot on it, and after I have taken the clocks out, the wheel has been stopped on the dead spot...
