I'm still a bit bemused about the central locking problem Ive had on my 1990 535i. I haven't much of a clue about these things so I am asking for a second opinion.
-Central locking will lock but not open from remote.
-Key will lock central locking from all three locks in car
-Key will only open central locking through boot and passenger lock BUT they immediately lock again
-Drivers door will not open using emergency method of lifting handle etc
AFTER INSPECTING I HAVE REMOVED DRIVERS DOOR CENTRAL LOCKING MOTOR/ACTUATOR now...
-Central locking will lock but still wont open from remote
-Key will lock central locking from boot and passenger door only
-Key will open central locking through boot and passenger lock, now it does not immediately lock again.
-Drivers door will now open using emergency method.
Am I right in thinking this actuator may be the problem for my central locking not opening at all or am I kidding myself?
Should i spend money replacing it or torch the car?.... only kidding
Anyone recommend a good spares supplier?
