Permanent live will have your lights on all the time, as per the other replies - use the sidelight wiring.

Wire them in parallel with the side light bulbs though.... You are going to need them coming MOT time...

Hate to bump this up from the dead, but I don't want to wire them into my sidelights because tail lights will be on all the time too. So like other new cars with DRL/Angels/Etc.... that are on but tail lights aren't I wanna take an ignition live source so they're on when car is but tail lights arent.

    Thanks.

You should consider having someone else wire it for you. For example there is a fuse box full of various rated ignition lives a metre away from the headlights.

Plus people can't see you headlights and tail lights at the same time so no one would know if it was on the side light circuits
