Im just wondering if anyone knows if BMW did what several manufacturers did and installed a universal loom inside the cabin? My 89 Sport has the manual seats, but id like to upgrade to the electric versions. Is there going to be an existing loom under the carpet/seat?

If not, what is the process? Im not electrically minded.

Gaffer tape is like the force...... it has a dark side and a light side

Nothing screams poor workmanship quicker than wrinkles in the gaffer tape!

On my 1990 535 sport I changed to electric seats, the wiring should be all there under the carpets, seats are only couple of bolts at bottom rear of runners, take headrest off for space, tip forward & pull out from hooks at front of runners, simples Ps, it's just plug in, no masters degree in electrickery needed!
There's nowt that can't be fixed with a hammer & some gaffa tape...
