Yea, I thought that might be the case. I don't know much about aftermarket alarms but I can't think right now of how this could work as it is with just a pulsed pos or neg.
the thing is, maybe someone else has a better idea if they are familiar with the Toad alarm and Beemers.
I'll see if I can find out though.

You may need a total closure module

I'm fairly sure I have a total closure module fitted because when I keep the key turned all 4 windows raise. Is there a relay somewhere that I could connect the trigger wire to? I've been looking in the bentley manual and it says connect the trigger to the comfort relay but I have a few relays missing from my fuse holder?

    Thanks for your help though

If keeping the key turned in the drivers door closes the windows, you could try pulsing the white/green wire from the driver door lock with a positive +12v for a few seconds. I think you can pick it up either inside the door, or where the wiring goes through a rubber gaitor between the door and body, or behind the glovebox at pin 1 on the yellow connector of the ZKE module.
I've searched tinternet for this but don't see a definitive answer, so if it was me, I'd try this. It's up to you, as like I said I haven't done this before. It has been asked a number of times on here but I don't think it has been answered.

Also, i did notice that this feature was removed by BMW due to a child getting their fingies caught in the window, so care should be taken if you get it working.

cheers for the info gildersol. I'm going to get someone to sit in my car with a multimeter and see what happens when I keep the key turned in the lock. I will check pin 1 first.

The saftey feature on my car is active so when someone puts pressure on the window it will stop or go down. Pretty decent for a 13 year old car! The only other car I know to have this feature was my 53 plate corsa.

I found the wire, All you have to do is keep a positive pulse to the lock wire to the ZKE. I've got my alarm to keep it pulsed for 10secs. Safety features and everythings working Now atleast I can tidy my car up lol.

    Cheers for the info everyone.

Pin 17 can be wired up aswell for all the people that use their key to lock their car. It will save you keeping the key turned in the lock position, meaning you just turn to lock and let go and the windows will rise. But I suggest you check if your windows stop when you apply pressure to them just incase someone ones to reach in/out and leave without fingers

i'm not too sure on the colour of the wire gildersol, I just counted along the pins but im fairly sure it was yellow/green. I'll have a looktomorow and let you know

Now all I have to do is figure out how to programe my toad alarm because at the moment I have to lock the car and then press button 3 for 2secs and let go for the windows to rise. Theres a function so that I can just lock it and the windows will rise but I can't seem to get into the programming mode - i've got the pin for the alarm etc :S confusing!

    did this work sham?

    wot wires was it?

surely a wire that sends a poss signal to the lock wire be split to pin 1 of the yellow plug at the zke thus sending a poss pulse to door lock and windows up???

It was pin 17 on the yellow plug of the BCM.
