Hi, I need advice on what could be causing my 635csi to not start... When turning the key to engage the starter there is nothing happening, there is full ignition lights and when putting a test light onto the small wire on the starter solenoid no feed is arriving there. I figure it's the ignition switch or the gearbox i.e it thinks it's in drive etc. But I haven't had too much experience with such an electrical car (my normal ride is a '55 chevy pick-up) so am a bit stuck with what it could be... Any advice from similar experiences would be much appreciated, many thanks Terry

put the ignition on and your own feed to the starter, however if it is in Drive it may lurch forwards so stand to the side and get someone inside on the brake pedal, if it starts ok and drives correctly then i would suspect either the ignition switch or the wire between the switch and starter.

Unless the car has an alarm / immob fitted?
