    Hi Guys,

If I turn on the wipers (any speed) or pull for washers the wipers won't turn off. You have to unplug the wiper motor. Breaking pre '82 models are hard to find so I got a wiper arm from an '84. The plug connection is different which didn't bother me, but the actual wire layout on the back of the arm is also different. Both units have 7 wires which I think will work in my favour, I basically want to cut and solder but does anyone habe any ideas "what goes where". Any help is much appreciated, this car is an ongoing project so you'll be hearing a lot from me..

    Orginal arm first then new...

This does sound more like a relay issue mate, on my '84 its the big black relay on the fusebox under the bonnet. Mine went just recently and I think all settings were just constant wipe.

Sadly Im not as clued up on the E12 based 6s.
Have you had a look on bigcoupe.com? Its a 6-specific forum with loads of really knowledgable chaps.
They will sort you out no problem, and if youre embarking on a bit of a project itll come in handy for any other questions you will have.
