Hi! I have an e36 325i which was first an 318tds, everything good after swaping the engines but i tried to upgrade my 7 button obc to an 18 buttons obc, I wired everything like the bentley manual.. but the obc doesn't display the fuel consumption and speed, can anyone help me with an idea?
I have already routed all cables and tied them, but the problem is that obc shows 39,5 l/100km consumption and 299 km speed. On the diagnosis i have an error code "speed signal sensor"
@payno the ABS it's working
@E36Coupe328 i wired the OBC according to Bentley Manual, the speedo works fine, so I'm guessing there's a problem between the cockpit wiring from the TDS and the engine compartment wiring camed with the new engine
This is how I wired the OBC:
OBC X1071 white plug - pin 1 to pin 15 X1659 EWS plug
4 - 10 turn indicator
5 - 12 X16 white plug dashboard
6 - 21 X16
7 - 11 X16
8 - 18 X1070 black plug OBC
9 - 10 X17 blue plug Dashboard
13 - 17 X1070
OBC X1070 Black Plug already on the car from the 7-buttons obc : 3 - 5 X1074 CCM
4 - 7 X1074 CCM
5 - 3 X1074 CCM
6 - 26 X17
8 - Black/Green wire from ZKE Module
9 - 4 X17
13 - 2 X17
15 - 24 X17
16 - 2 X16
I think i found the problem, according to the ETM wiring diagram there are 2 diference on dash wiring from diesel to petrol, so pin 21 from x16 plug which provides fuel consumption, on diesel DDE plug is pin 49 and on petrol cars is: for M3 and 325i pin 46 on DME, for 316i and 318i is pin 17 DME, for 320,323,328i is pin 9 DME.... And for speed signal pin 2 from X17 plug goes to pin 29 on diesel DDE plug and for petrol cars : M3 pin 42 DME, rest of petrols engines pin 73 DME. Waiting for tomorrow to do changes on DME plug and hope to work!
