    Hi all again,

My neices 2007 model 118d (stop-start model) was parked one day and failed to start the next. It turns over but wont start. I've checked some threads and it could be a fuse but which one? There is no diagram or numbers in the fuse box holder and i have seen diagrams on the net but they seem to be pre 2007 and where the fuse for the fuel control module should be in the box (on pre 07 it shown as fuse 35), it is empty. I think that post facelift may have different locations and number for the fuel pump module, so if anyone can help with a picture or diagram etc it would be greatly appreciated.

I have checked fuel pump module behind the rear seat backrest but cannot tell if it has failed, i tried to smell it but does not smell of burning/burnt components.

Also, where is the fuel filter so i can check that fuel is getting to the filter?
The 118d is a new car to me altogether so don't know much about it - E39's and e46's are no problem as i've done enough on them.

Anybody come up against this problem, your views and diagnosis would be helpful.

No fault codes showing on laptop.
The previous day, the car went into limp mode briefly but was ok after a very short while, also same day the engine seemed a little rough at idle at traffic lights however drove fine.
Parked up that night, tried to start in the morning and only starter turning but no ignition.

    Cheers all

Yes using INPA on the laptop.
I think i'm going to have to go underneath to the fuel pump and give it a tap or two with a hammer to see if that is the problem.
