Just building up the rear axle of a Z3 so I can fit it to my E30, I bought the parts in bits and have got to the part where I need the driveshafts fitting.
How do you get these in ? they are tight, I need to get them in another 20mm or so and they seam stuck as if it needs some sort of press to get them in, they are not in enough yet so I can wind the nuts on then of them up to pull them in.
By the looks of some of the marks on the end of the driveshaft it looks like someone had a problem removing them.

Been hitting the hub side with a rubber mallet, that didn't work.

The driveshafts should slide in on the hub splines nice and easy, if they don't then inspect the splines for damage. :thumbsup
Thats what I thought, the splines looked good, I even checked to see if there was a certain way they went in like having a flat part so it only fitted one way.
