Hello i'm in need of a little help..
I am currently swapping my 328 rear axle for an M3 evo rear axle and im stuck with part numbers..
The new axle has had all new bushes including diff mount bushes, 4 purple powerflex subframe mounts, 2 purple ARB mounts, new solid camber arms, black bushes in the rear traling arms etc..
All replaced without too much grief..
All new rear suspension and bushes, i went to refit my axle to find there are two ball joints in the trailing arms.... top and bottom above and below the rear hub.
They had movement/play in also so i pressed them out and ordered 4x 33326775551 and got all p***ed off with my car remaining off the road :-@
The part supplier said they cross over to EMS8133 and sent me the QH equivalent
Fine i thought..
3 days later the ''rosejoints'' turn up and a smile returns to my face as i can re-assemble my daily driver.. :-)
Line up the joints with the hole in the trailing arm, attach a suitable socket to secure around the outer diameter and get the hammer :-)
Gave the first bush a tap to knock it into position and it flew straight through the hole and landed on the deck..
Open another bush packet and check the part numbers etc only to find all 4 bushes just slide in and out of the arms freely
I rang the supplier and they said the e36 only has one part number for this joint which is 188.8.131.525.551
The joint i pushed out is aluminium and the joints they sent are steel cased, so i should have realised before i even went to fit them, but i am really confused as i can only find the one part number....?
Anybody who knows what im doing wrong please tell me..
Any advice or info would be of great help..
Pictures coming soon...
