hi all i really like to see some nice big brakes behind wheels and the standard items just dont cut it.

i dont have thousands to splash on huge 6 pot brakes, so wondering if bigger brakes from other models will fit? closest thing i can think of will be the m3 brakes, shud be plenty of them in scrap yards?

im not disspointed with the quality of the bm brakes but a little extra always helps

    thanks pete

The 330i brakes are a more common upgrade - for these you just need the caliper carriers, the calipers themselves & a pair of 325mm discs - all readily available from a 330i or 330d donor car. They bolt straight onto E36 or E46 hubs.

I might be corrected here, but you would need to change a lot of things to get M3 brakes onto a 328i - the hubs appear to be different, which may mean even your current shocks don't fit into the M3 hubs.

My advice would still be to fit the 330i brakes, put some decent pads in them, and some braided hoses - this would be a massive improvement over the little 328i brakes.

rear hubs on a m3 are different to so would only be fronts if it is possible hence not being able to put m3 rear wheels on a std 3series
