    I understand that the total weight rating is different between the springs, however does anyone run 4cylinder springs on a 6? The reason I ask is I cant find any used springs and 4 cyl springs come up for sale more often.

    I wouldn't advise it but forum member devil318is has a bilstein lowering kit for sale for the 6 cylinder

    There's a reason why they specify between 4 and 6 cylinder, it's as you said.. weight.

    Putting 4 cylinder springs onto a car with a much heavier 6cyl isn't a good idea at all and would be asking for trouble I'd say
    E46 325ti Sport
    Lowered 50/40 on Weitec springs
    18" staggered BBS RS-GTs

    Pioneer MVH-8200
    Focal Polyglass 5.25" 130VB components
    Alpine MRP-M650 Monoblock with Alpine Type R 10"

    i know some one that done it and snapped a spring in 4months
