    Hello!!!

    Recently purchased a 2000 530d touring.
Going to service it after a good clean but after that I am going to be looking at lowering it, just would like some advice from the experts. Although it is my second bmw my knowledge is limited outside the honda world!!

    Whats the best option,

initially I was thinking coil overs, but dont want to really ruin the comfortable ride just going for looks,

    or,

    Springs?

I know the car is equipped with the self levelling air suspension and was thinking about removing it as I have read some horror stories about it. Already had the dummy light come up after a freezing night.

I have searched the forum for info on this topic already but to no avail. Any advise on, where to buy, cost and general thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

    Many Thanks,
    Glenn.

Im unsure on the e39 but i know people used to fit saloon rear struts to the e34 when the system went up the shoot. They just made a loop pipe from the feed to the return
