I'm led to believe that changing brake pads is not too taxing- is it something somebody with limmited mechanical knowledge can do?
If so are there any good guides on changing e36 pads?
Quick q- Tried removing the caliper the other day, I removed the 2 allan key guide bolts from the back of the caliper and still couldn't seem to get it off. Is there anything else I need to remove or shall I just give it a bit of a tap?
You need to remove the anti rattle spring, If there is a groove on the discs then you may need to push the caliper piston back to clear the pads of the ridge.
Just thought i'd chime in, the EBC green stuff pads are really good and definitely helps to stop when you need to, they are quite harsh on the disc though

I also rate EBC. I use their greenstuff pads and grooved discs and really rate them despite some of the more hard core racers not reflecting the same views:thumbsup
