i have a broken rear coil spring on my e 46 m3 and have been told that a lot of people replace them with eibach springs. they lower the front 20mm and the rear 10 mm. i'm just wondering if anybody has already fitted these and if they are happy with the ride quality. i was advised that these springs may upset the geometry of the car without replacing the shocks as well. discuss.
    thanks.

I have Eibach springs on my E36 325i and i highly recommend them
I have the front lowered 30mm and the rear 20mm with standars Boge M-Tech shocks and have no problems. It rides and handles excellent
I would not go any lower than 30mm on the standard shocks though.

Normally the shocks will only be replaced if the drop exceeds 40mm. The shocks will then need to have a shortened dampening rate

Eibach will manufacture their coil springs to work in conjunction with genuine shocks and they have a very good reputation and feedback with all the products that they produce
