    cheers Ron.
had a look the the brace...
dont they normally have round ends with 3 bolt holes? (which line up with the shocks)
i would have thought that would be a stronger design, simpler too.

thats basically the same but it only uses the 2 holes, in my opinion i think its better as all of the stress is directly above the tower whereas with the braces that are welded onto the ring there is a lot of stress put on the weld, if your not happy with that one let me know and ill find a different one for you.

i understand your point about the stress on the weld, but you be shocked to discover how strong a tidy weld is.
i do like this desing too, but i like the price even more !
    It does say lightweight aluminium.

do you think the price is too low? (will it be Tat)
But my brain says its just a metal bar, so it could be worth a shot. ?

think of it this way, its going to be stronger than whats there at the minute, if there was enough stress to brake that bar then your car would of twisted up by now, itll be fine for what you want, plus at 35quid its not going to matter

You make a very good point Ron.
i dont think we have to worry about the bar breaking, its more about the twisting/bending under stress etc.
    at 35quid i'm in,
but they dont know about diesel fitment.
i looked at this seller/item before i started the thread.

Whats the difference between the 4 and 6 cyllinder models? (i mean suspension tower measurements)

& which one is closer to my 4cylinder diesel engine bay?
a guy at euro parts said sometimes they are different because they have to go past bigger brake master cylinders on some more powerful cars.

no idea tbh mate, personally id get the 4cyl one, phone them in the morning, tell them what model it is and they will sort it out for you, if they dont know then see if they will send it out but exchange it if it dosnt fit. if still no joy then get back to me and ill research it properly and get you one that does fit
