    What were the make of the disc's and pads origionally fitted to the e46 3 series compacts?? also what do people recommend?? Has anyone tried drilled/vented discs are they a big improvement??

    OEM discs are usually made by ATE, and the pads are Textar or Jurid and possibly some other approved makes. GSF will have these makes in stock if you don't want to pay for the BMW branding. You have to be careful about using after market cross drilled as they can fracture at the drill points if not done correctly. On your E46, all corners have vented discs, not solid.
