One of my brake callipers has seized and needs to be replaced.
It's a 1999 reg, the question is weTher there is a reasonably good value for money brake upgrade, sub£500 to replace this with?

no you would need the suspension and hubs and would cost more than £500

You can always do a 330i front brake conversion which will increase the disc size from your current 300mm to 325mm.

    Parts needed...
    • 330i calipers + carriers - £90 for the pair from Quarry Motors (plus you get a 10% discount for being a BF member!)
    • Discs + pads - £100+ All depends on how much you want to spend, but CRN can supply performance front/rear discs and pads for around £200.
    • Braided brake lines - £70 Either Goodridge or HEL. Optional but recommended.
    • Decent brake fluid - £10.

So all that for less than £400 and a couple of hours fitting time. Plus you can sell the old calipers and recoup some money

The problem was the brake, I just had the standard ones replaced, but the wobbling seems to have stopped.
    Thanks for the advice everyone
