Hi all, I've had my E46 for about a month now, and after doing an EGR delete and front de-cat I'm starting to think about sorting the handling. I've had some quite sporty cars previous to this (E36 323ci, Supra twin turbo, and Civic type R) and just don't think the diesel Bimmer handles as good as it should. Is it just the big heavy lump sat at the front end? Or is it the set up of it being more for comfort? Corners that I could attack at speed before in my Civic I don't feel confident doing anymore.

Don't get me wrong when you're not thrashing it she drives lovely. But when you give it some she tends to wander a bit. Giving you hints that she's not happy such as tyre noise.

My main question is what would give the best gains with the least £££?

    Thanks in advance
    Victory is mine!!!

Coilovers/good springs and shocks, strut brace, ARB's and good tyres will sort it out then a remap.

if money's tight polybush it But to really make these handle you also need a good set of shocks and springs + uprated arb's I use H+R and they are very good and reasonable in price.
