I have recently changed my brake calipers, discs and brake pads on the front of my e46 320ci m sport convertible. Since i've had them done i seem to be hearing a ticking noise when i drive around 30 mph upwards. The faster i go, the louder and faster it ticks but when i apply the breaks it stops. I have tried changing my brake pads for the second time as a garage told me my pads may be moving around in the caliper. After changing the pads, it stopped for about a week and now its back. Anybody have any idea what it could be. All the parts are new from german, swedish and french ltd.

Have you checked the brake back plates haven't got bent in close to the discs?

And have you had the front of the car jacked up onto axle stands and spun the front wheels up by hand fast to see if you can hear the noise?
