Is it possible to fit coilovers to this car?

I know it is in the front but im not sure on the rear as it has self levelling suspension...?
Is it the case that you fit uprated shocks to the rear and adjust the ride height?

If that is the case how do you adjust the ride height?

    Thanks in advance

Check out pavels e39 thread on stanceworks and I'm sure you can do it

Most e39 touring s are slammed on air though and about 600 plus to buy the kit

Thanks mate, that explains alot! Ive actually thought been looking and looking for a page like that. Seems to make alot of sense, its a 1999 520i. Is it possible to get up rated shocks for the rear so when i lower the suspension by adjusting the level link it wont bottom out
