Hi folks. Can somebody please advise me on the following..
A friend of a friend has just removed some Jamex coilovers from his E36 Convertible before he sells the car.
They have only been on the car for a few months. He said they will fit a E36 Coupe and Cabriolet from a 316 up upto a 328, but is unsure whether or not they will fit my E36 Touring 328i (1996)
I really want to buy them as they've been offered to me quite cheap and one of my rear shocks is weeping, but I just need to know if they will fit. Can anybody help me please?
    Many thanks

Cabriolet and Touring share the same standard set-up so you shouldn't have a problem fitting them. What size engine is his car?

I think they came off a 318, would that make a difference at all?

I believe it may because the 318 is a four pot and yours is a 6 pot..so yours is considerably heavier.I think they made different kits for the 4 and for the 6 but am not 100% sure on this.....

4 cyl coilovers will fit a 6 cyl no problem. Beacuse they are height adjustable you can raise and lower them to compensate for the engine weight....
